Osteopathy in the cranial field, women's health, pregnancy care, children from newborns on, sports injuries, lymphatic drainage, soft and deep tissue massage, workplace injuries and rehabilitation, veterans affairs, treatment of the elderly, posture advice, exercise and self management programs. We screen and treat children for spinal health and developmental disorders. We use cranial osteopathy as well as direct and other indirect gentle techniques.
A wide range of techniques
Our osteopaths here in Coffs Harbour are highly trained. We are manual (hands on) therapists registered with AHPRA. We integrate soft tissue, trigger point and stretch therapy, manipulation and mobilisation into our treatment protocol to identify imbalances and dysfunctions present. We believe in empowering the patient to self manage rather than giving repeat and unnecessary treatments. We want to help YOU fix yourself. We use gentle techniques with babies such as Cranio-Sacral therapy
Our Team
Dr. Philip Bingham (Principal Osteopath)
Diploma of Osteopathy (Sydney), B.Sc (Hons) University of Westminster. First started practice 1979. Philip has completed full post graduate training in Upledger (cranial and visceral), the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation and Biodynamics courses. Philip has lectured at tertiary level and has been a university examiner. He has taught overseas as well as continuing his own post graduate studies both here and overseas. Philip has a special interest in treating the very old as well as the very young. He was the first Osteopath in Bellingen (1980) and the first Osteopath in Coffs Harbour a few years later.
Dr. Wesley Khalil (Osteopath)
Wesley graduated from Southern Cross University with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and Masters in Osteopathy. Wesley enjoys treating holistically with a hybrid approach which is dictated by the individual's needs. Wesley has a large background in rehabilitation and strength which he uses in conjunction with his osteopathy to improve long term outcomes and help people reduce their likelihood of re-injury in the future. Wesley enjoys treating back pain, shoulder injuries, headaches, neck tension and other athletic injuries. Wesley enjoys being the practitioner who empowers people wanting to get back to the activities they love.

Dr. Emma-Lee Sokor (Osteopath)
Emma-Lee graduated from Southern Cross university with a Bachelor of Clinical Science and a Master of Osteopathic Medicine. Emma-Lee helps her patients manage pain using osteopathic manual therapy, exercise prescription, and dry needling. She has done further post-graduate studies in treating vertigo/BPPV. Emma-Lee has an interest in treating neck, back, joint pain and sports injuries, and works well with women, children, babies and the elderly.
Dr. KAY FAIRWEATHER (Osteopath)
Kay is passionate about helping patients understand the role of movement and the nervous system in pain and well-being. She believes that movement is the best form of medicine, and we all need to find our own way of bringing movement to our bodies and lives to obtain optimal health.
Kay graduated from Plymouth Marjon University in South Devon, England with a Bachelor of Healthcare Science and Master of Osteopathic Medicine. She has completed additional post graduate training in craniosacral therapy and women’s pelvic health, where she trained in internal pelvic floor strength and prolapse assessment and treatment.
Kay lives in Bellingen with her husband and teenage children. She is a qualified yoga teacher and enjoys trail running, rock climbing and splashing about in the river and ocean.
KIDS CLINIC
Our Kids Clinic is a unique, not-for-profit clinic day held every six to eight weeks on a Saturday morning, that provides parents on the Coffs Coast the ability to have their children assessed and treated for a minimal donation.
Philip saw a need in the community for such a service to provide early intervention and treatment to children whose parents may otherwise be unable to access or afford osteopathic treatment. The clinic's primary focus is on screening and treating children for spinal and developmental disorders such as scoliosis and hip dysplasia as well as postural evaluation. Children also present with sports injuries, birth trauma, headaches and general strains and sprains. The Kids Clinic is a learning/teaching initiative which has been approved by the Australian Health Practitioners' Regulation Authority. (AHPRA)

BioBasics 2024 Courses Now OPEN for Registration!
Hello, from all the BioBasics crew.
We are just letting you know that our 2024 BioBasics courses have been launched.
Previous participants are most welcome to attend again or if you wish to kindly pass this information on to someone who may enjoy the course, that would be great. This course will have some new content but will run in a similar manner as last year.
The courses will run over two days, Friday and Saturday. The NSW course will take place overlooking the sea at the beautiful Aanuka Beach Resort, Coffs Harbour (May 3 - 4). The VIC course will also be on the coast at Seaview Williamstown Conference Centre (July 26 - 27).
